\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Liaise with Mining contractor and develop plans based on equipment capacities;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare monthly cost reconciliation and forecast;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work towards ensuring that plans meet short, medium and Long Term strategies and objectives;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work towards ensuring that Short term is complying with medium and long term Plan;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Undertake open pit optimization, pits and dumps designing to meet Asanko standards and requirements in order to maximize mine performance;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Liaise with the Senior Surveyor and Senior Mine Geologist with regard to any changes in the pit and dump designs;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with the efficient preparation of Mine Budgets and Life of Mine Plans (LOM) to meet deadlines;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with the preparation of mid and end of the year Ore Reserves reports;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Undertake Ore Reserves reconciliations in conjunction with Geology and Metallurgy;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Efficient planning of ore stockpiles to ensure uninterrupted ore supply to crushers;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure pit & dump engineering designs are available and meet all technical and safety requirements;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure block models are updated and made available for planning purposes;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure quarterly production reconciliations are generated;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Deputize for the Unit Manager, Mine Planning as required; and
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform any related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the mining industry which includes experience in large open pit operations utilizing excavators and large trucks;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent Computer analysis skills and in-depth knowledge of modern mine planning and design soft wares;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in the use of DESWIK or similar mining software packages. Practical knowledge in the use of spreadsheet and database software packages;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in Open Pit optimization preferably in gold deposit, pit designing and production scheduling;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability and experience in training, coaching and mentoring staff. Institute and manage skills and technological transfer for effective succession planning.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Must be conversant with the Mining Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana and be able to interpret and apply these laws and regulations;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Familiar with current planning technologies and practices;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people of diverse cultures;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Well-developed oral and written communication skills;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license and have the ability to drive in rough terrain;
