Lab techs may work in a wide variety of fields such as medicine, biology, chemistry, electronics, geology and the environment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Laboratory Technician<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To provide technical function associated with the delivery of laboratory services in accordance with the level of expertise, standards for diagnostic services and standard operating procedure (SOPs) and Guidelines<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Medical Laboratory Technician is required to perform phlebotomy services.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, assess and process specimens.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible to perform clinical laboratory testing.<\/li>\n<li>Documents\/keeps accurate records to maintain good laboratory practice.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures equipment is maintained to standards.<\/li>\n<li>Performs quality control testing.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in research, evaluation of new techniques and laboratory audits.<\/li>\n<li>The Medical Laboratory Assistant will consult with the Biomedical Scientist when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all GHS Quality Assurance Policy guidelines and work within the prescribed quality standards for the Laboratory Service.<\/li>\n<li>Works in accordance with GHS Code of Professionals Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Strictly Adheres to the provisions of the Patient\u2019s Charter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma\/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>One (1) year period of internship at a recognized health facility.<\/li>\n<li>MUST be registered with the Allied Health Taskforce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location : Kikam-Ellembelle District<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply, please click on link: https:\/\/sanfordghana.applicantpro.com\/jobs\/477772-87376.html<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE NOTE: This job description is intended as a guide to the principle duties and responsibilities for the post and should not be considered an exhaustive list.
