Our services include research, training, educational materials, and strategy, with activities ranging from seed projects to large-scale national and international initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Logistics Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure sound Logistics management systems comply with donor rules and regulations. The Logistic Officer will perform a full range of Logistics management duties, including office procurement and project travel planning. This position is located in Accra, Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages all contracts including supply, transport and rental contracts<\/li>\n<li>Identifies and negotiates with suppliers, transporters and landlords for office, warehouse and guesthouse facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the Purchases of supplies, equipment and items according to the rules and regulations of EDC.<\/li>\n<li>Makes sure the deliveries are processed in an adequate and timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Maintains professional business practices with EDC suppliers and facility providers<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a supplier database<\/li>\n<li>Keeps an updated file of field assets, equipment and procurement documents<\/li>\n<li>Share an inventory monthly report.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise proper management of all stocks.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all equipment are appropriately labeled with inventory codes<\/li>\n<li>Regularly conduct physical inventory checks of all stocks<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the preparation and implementation of Purchase Requests, Quotations, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Delivery Notes, Handover Certificates and Receipts of Payment<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and present logistics support to all EDC activities including procurement and workshop activities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop reports on material and various operational logistics problems<\/li>\n<li>Draw up procurement plans and consolidate purchases (monthly)<\/li>\n<li>Follow with program teams to review their needs\/orders (Weekly)<\/li>\n<li>Do quality control for all supplies ordered and delivered<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate proper filing of all procurement documents (PoDs)<\/li>\n<li>Might be involved in security tasks<\/li>\n<li>Identify added logistic training requirements to attain high working standards.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities for visas and expatriate registrations.<\/li>\n<li>Any other tasks as required by your direct supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors Degree with three years of experience in logistics management<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in the NGO sector will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION CONTACT AND DETAILS TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Visitwww.edc.org<\/p>\n<p>EDC is committed to diversity in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>EDC offers a supportive work environment, competitive salary, and excellent benefits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Education Development Center (EDC) is one of the world\u2019s leading nonprofit research and development firms.
