The Companys Bogoso\/Prestea operations, located 10km south of the town of Bogoso in the Western Region of Ghana, is in the process of expanding with the commissioning of a new BIOX Plant in 2007. To supplement its open pit production, the Company is evaluating the feasibility of resuming Underground operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monitor, investigate and analyse plant technical performance for continuous improvement and maximum operational efficiency<br \/>\nProvide technical metallurgical solutions to specific challenges at the Processing Plant<br \/>\nMonitor reagent consumption rates at the Plant<br \/>\nWork closely with operations and maintenance personnel, to identify, investigate and implement improvements within the circuits<br \/>\nTroubleshoots complex technical problems and provide advice, guidelines and supervision to operating personnel<br \/>\nMonitor day-to-day plant performers and ensure target operating parameters are adhered to<br \/>\nEnsure calibration, proper use, handling and efficiency of all instrumentations at the section<br \/>\nReview Standard Operating Procedures for the Plant in collaboration with sectional superintendents<br \/>\nConducts research and development initiatives for Plant optimisation<br \/>\nPerform any other related duties that may be assigned from time-to-time<br \/>\nRemuneration: Attractive conditions of service will be offered to successful applicants<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Degree in Metallurgy or its equivalent with at least six (6) years hand-on experience in a mining environment<br \/>\nExperience in Biox plant operations will be added advantage<br \/>\nExcellent communication and people management skills<br \/>\nMust be a good team player<br \/>\nFluent and working knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc<br \/>\n<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application indicating contact telephone numbers\/current e-mail address together with detailed CV and copies of relevant academic documents should be forwarded to: <strong>recruitment@gsrgh..com <\/strong>or<\/p>\n<p>THE HUMAN RESOURCE &amp; ADMINISTRATION MANAGER<br \/>\nGOLDEN STAR (BOGOSO\/PRESTEA) LIMITED<br \/>\nP.
