The Company&#8217;s Bogoso\/Prestea operations, located 10km south of the town of Bogoso in the Western Region of Ghana, is in the process of expanding with the commissioning of a new BIOX Plant in 2007. To supplement its open pit production, the Company is evaluating the feasibility of resuming Underground operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Plant Maintenance and Mobile Equipment departments<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for the effective organisation, co-ordination and supervision of plant maintenance and mine maintenance (mobile equipment) departments<br \/>\nProvide leadership to the operations through development and maintenance of productive relationships that ensure achievement of production KPIs, efficiency and targets<br \/>\nProvide motivation and leadership for employees to meet environmental, health and safety goals<br \/>\nDevelop work practices to achieve the optimum operation of the mining fleet<br \/>\nPrepare accurate and timely engineering reports for top management decisions<br \/>\nResponsible for the preparation and management of sectional budgets<br \/>\nPerform any other related duties assigned from time-to-time<br \/>\nRemuneration: Attractive conditions of service will be offered to successful applicants<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Degree in Mechanical\/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent with at least ten (10) years hands-on experience with a reputable organisation<br \/>\nSignificant experience with mining operations will be an added advantage<br \/>\nKnowledge of and experience in engineering methodologies and practices, engineering designs and quality controls<br \/>\nMust have a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environment<br \/>\nMust have a solid reputation for effectively achieving results through successful motivation and support for people at all levels<br \/>\nExcellent communication and task prioritisation skills<br \/>\nExceptional interpersonal and people management skills<br \/>\nMust be computer literate<br \/>\nMust possess a valid driving license<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application indicating contact telephone numbers\/current e-mail address together with detailed CV and copies of relevant academic documents should be forwarded to: <strong>recruitment@gsrgh..com<\/strong> or<\/p>\n<p>THE HUMAN RESOURCE &amp; ADMINISTRATION MANAGER<br \/>\nGOLDEN STAR (BOGOSO\/PRESTEA) LIMITED<br \/>\nP.
