{"id":18960,"date":"2016-11-15T12:59:14","date_gmt":"2016-11-15T12:59:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=18960"},"modified":"2016-11-16T08:00:50","modified_gmt":"2016-11-16T08:00:50","slug":"busac-fund-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/busac-fund-jobs.html","title":{"rendered":"BUSAC Fund Jobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BUSAC is the acronym for &#8220;Business Sector Advocacy Challenge&#8221; Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The BUSAC Fund aims at contributing to the creation of a more enabling business environment for development and growth of the Ghanaian private sector. This is achieved by empowering business membership organizations, trades unions and the media, to influence public policy formulation by undertaking appropriate research, developing evidence based policy positions and advocating those positions with government and other private sector institutions\/organization that may be targeted by the action.<\/p>\n<p>The BUSAC Fund was originally launched by DANIDA in 2004 as part of the broader Business Sector Programme Support. The first phase of the BUSAC Fund, which was supported by DANIDA, DFID and USAID, ended in February 2010 after six years of operations. During this phase, the BUSAC Fund provided three hundred and sixty-two grants to business groups and associations spread over all the ten regions of Ghana to undertake advocacy activities aimed at improving the Ghanaian business environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Grant Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands on experience with grant administration and management to PSOs, FBOs, Business Associations and Media organisations for Business Advocacy;<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate competency with project implementation, supervision and appropriate documentation in relation to contractual obligations under grant agreements;<\/li>\n<li>Experience from managing grantees and monitors, fostering relationships between grantees and monitors, receiving and screening reports from grantees and monitors, including field visits to ensure attainment of advocacy goals.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in ensuring appropriate systems are in place for filing and input to computerised databases are accurate plus experience in preparing grant disbursement schedules and managing errors and delays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a minimum of 3 years of grant management experience at senior level on a donor funded project.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum of a post graduate degree in finance, economics or a related discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience in the region and language<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience from working in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and one local language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicant should send the application clearly marked with the position with the following relevant supporting documents:<\/p>\n<p>Cover letter,<br \/>\nmost recent Curriculum Vitae,<br \/>\nthree referees with their contact information and salary history for the past 3 years,<\/p>\n<p>Send these to <strong>contac@busac.org<\/strong> &amp; <strong>fmensah@busac.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p>deliver it by hand to<\/p>\n<p>The BUSAC Fund Secretariat at No. 47, Nii Noi Kwame Street, Adjacent Relax Court Hotel, Dzorwulu, Accra not later than <strong>5:00pm on 25th November, 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note: Only short-listed applicants will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BUSAC is the acronym for &#8220;Business Sector Advocacy Challenge&#8221; Fund.
