The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.<\/p>\n<p>WaterAid Ghana is looking for a Head of Finance and IT to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world\u2019s poorest communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of Finance and IT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working within the Finance and IT Department, you will be reporting to the Country Director. You will take responsibility and provide strategic leadership of the financial and IT function of WaterAid Ghana, whilst ensuring effective application of WaterAid financial and IT policies and procedures in collaboration with members of the Senior Management Team and WaterAid UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contribute to strategic leadership of the CP as part of Senior Management Team (SMT) and implementation of the country strategy programme<\/p>\n<p>-Provide strategic financial advice in line with current programme designs, business plans and projects.<\/p>\n<p>-Partner with senior management to develop annual operating plans and forecasts.<\/p>\n<p>-Provide leadership in monitoring and reporting on financial risks.<\/p>\n<p>-Lead and guide the Finance team in ensuring assessment of partners\u2019 financial management ability and support in building their capacity to develop internal financial systems.<\/p>\n<p>-Provide and consolidate financial information for management accounts to support financial decision-making<\/p>\n<p>To be successful, you will need to have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master\u2019s degree in Finance and fully completed Professional Accounting qualification\/certification with CA\/ACCA\/CIMA or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>A proven experience in senior level financial management in a development organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of government policies and regulations on financial management, taxation and international donor reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of use of standard accounting systems including SUN and Vision, and Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s hard to believe that today over 650 million people still don\u2019t have clean, safe water and over 2.3 billion live without a toilet.
