Production\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Function:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To plan, direct and coordinate work with project participating households so as to ensure that specific project interventions are moving in the right direction and resources are applied in a judicious and accountable manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Character Traits:<\/strong> Hardworking, Collaborative, and Enthusiastic<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(including approximate percentage effort)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical backstopping-80%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">The Field Assistant will technical backstop project households and ensure that all planned activities are undertaken in a timely and impacting manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Project participants are backstopped and the annual work-plan is fully executed in line with established organizational procedures and the project objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Indicator tracking-5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">The Field Assistant will track the project performance indicators and provide the relevant and essential input for addressing any challenges that may affect progression towards the project objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indicators tracked and feedback provided on the identified challenges and gaps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation of Project Outcomes-5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">The Field Assistant will document project outcomes, best practices and lessons learned for sharing with stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Project outcomes, including best practices and lessons learned are documented and shared with the relevant stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting -5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">The Field Assistant will prepare and submit periodic reports (as may be required by a supervisor) on all the project activities and related matters in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Periodic reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training<\/strong><strong>-5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"JHover\">The Field Assistant will liaise with other project staff to provide capacity development training to the project beneficiary households.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Periodic capacity development needs are identified and the required actions, including training, are carried out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Assignments<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">The Field Assistant will carry out any other duties that may be assigned to him\/her by the designated Project Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">All assigned duties are satisfactorily discharged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Most Critical Proficiency:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Knowledge of and experience in crop and animal husbandry initiatives<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Knowledge of and experience on community-based organizations<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Excellent organizational skills including strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Basic data collection and analysis skills<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Understanding of participatory approaches.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Understanding of gender considerations.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Strong writing and oral communications skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Demonstrated skills and experience in training, including sound understanding of adult learning principles.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Excellent coordination and facilitation skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions and Physical Demands:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Ability to meet and deal with others in courteous and tactful manner<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and Integrity<\/li>\n<li external actors.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Remains calm, in control and good humored even under pressure.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Self-starter, and self-motivated to work under minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Preparedness to work with farmers in rural settings and especially with women<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\">Sc. degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Animal Science, Social Science, Rural development or Veterinary Science<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">A minimum of 2 years\u2019 practical experience in rural development work<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Computer literate in MS Excel and MS Word.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Ability to ride a motor bike in rough and challenging terrains.<\/li>\n<li class=\"JHover\">Fluency in English, and Kasem or Frafra or Dagbani or Dagare or
