Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Loss Control Representative Senior<\/strong><\/p>\n POSITION TITLE (BCT):Health & Safety Coordinator \u2013 EPCM<\/strong><\/p>\n REPORTS TO: AME Health & Safety Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n DIMENSIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n Operating Cost\/Budget\/Production:<\/p>\n POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED:<\/p>\n POSITIONS INDIRECTLY SUPERVISED:<\/p>\n PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n The purpose of the EPCM H&S Coordinator role is to carry out the requirements of the Integrated and Health & Safety Management Systems for the Ahafo Mill Expansion Project .<\/p>\n This job will be responsible for providing Project Health & Safety oversight to the Business and sub-Business partners for the Ahafo Mill Expansion Project.<\/p>\n The position will be expected to drive the Newmont Culture of Zero Harm and fatality elimination to the various Business Partners working at the AME with particular focus on fatal risk categories<\/p>\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Administer Newmont programs to prevent health and safety events during construction activities.<\/p>\n \u2022 Assist Project Management to develop and maintain a culture of \u201cZero Harm\u201d. Provides advice to Business Partners regarding hazard identification, risk management, safety rules, regulations, trends, statistics and compliance.<\/p>\n \u2022 Participate in safety event investigations to discover root causes and identify corrective actions to prevent re occurrence.<\/p>\n \u2022 Implement learning of relevant safety events from other Newmont sites and the general industry.<\/p>\n \u2022 Assist Project Management in complying with the Newmont fatality risk critical controls.<\/p>\n \u2022 Facilitate the fatality risk critical control verification processes for AME construction activities.<\/p>\n \u2022 Coach and conduct safety interactions in the field with Business Partner supervisors.<\/p>\n \u2022 Conduct health and safety inspections and audits. Prepare reports and ensure close out of actions in a timely manner.<\/p>\n \u2022 Facilitate monthly Business Partner safety meetings and provide safety information to them for their use in presentations.<\/p>\n \u2022 Monitor lead and lag health and safety indicators for the AME and produce reports and presentations as required.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure compliance to the Integrated Management System and Health and Safety Management System and participate in system audits<\/p>\n Become familiar with and strictly adhere to Newmont\u2019s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
