Having lived for a few years in the UK and eventually moving to the US, Eddie was a young man determined to make life be much better for him and future family than he had experienced back home in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The ultimate goal of WAAF is to establish and deliver prevention, behavioural, care and support services for the general population but with emphasis on the Most At Risk Populations (MARPS).<\/p>\n<p>The organisation\u2019s vision and mission guide daily and long-term operations, as detailed in the organizations strategic plan document. WAAF uses this plan to effectively set programmatic operational priorities and financial targets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Data Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Works Closely With: Project Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To manage and maintain all projects related data by ensuring that records are compiled accurately and maintained in the prescribed manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and review all project related data from the field<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Verify entered data by reviewing data, pursuing files to eliminate duplication of data<\/li>\n<li>Secure information by completing database always<\/li>\n<li>Keep track of received data and source documents<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the reliability and completeness of data being entered into the database systems and maintain accurate up to date data<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that confidentiality of data collected are stored and maintained<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the design, development and delivery of strategic and operation data entry services of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in carrying out staff audits, identify gaps and purpose staffing levels for the organization<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an up to date and accurate staff records and filing system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Relationships<\/strong><br \/>\nCompetencies required for this Role<br \/>\n\u2022 Good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written.<br \/>\n\u2022 Good planning organization skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer literacy and familiarity with the human resources information system<br \/>\n\u2022 Sound judgement and decision making plans<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applicants should send their CV and cover letter to the following emails by indicating in the subject line &#8220;Data Officer&#8221; to <strong>frenchier724@gmail.com<\/strong> or <strong>dorcasaba.annan@waafweb.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline:14th December, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West Africa AIDS Foundation was set up in 1999 by Eddie Donton, a Ghanaian born who eventually found himself in California USA.
