Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Finance Assistants (6 Positions)<\/strong><\/p>\n Currently, Abt Associates is implementing Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) in Six selected districts in the Northern region: Kumbungu, West Mamprusi, East Mamprusi, Mamprugu\/Moagduri,Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo, Karaga, districts.<\/p>\n We are currently seeking qualified individuals to fill temporary positions as Finance Assistants (6 positions) Successful candidates will be contracted for not more than 4 months. \n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that district\u00a0 staff\u00a0 receive their wages by liaising effectively with the district banks
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that\u00a0 monies advanced to pay mobilizers and implementers are closely monitored and cleared\u00a0 timely
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Participate in the preparation, correction and submission of bi-weekly financial reports.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work with logistics department to ensure that all vendors are paid promptly
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Handle any finance related activities in the districts.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Collect and enter data in excel for project activities in the district.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Collect information for and prepare payroll payment for temporal staff.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Adhere to the company\u2019s financial policies and procedures
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Properly keep records of all financial transactions in the district
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure swift payment of invoices by properly verifying all invoices submitted for correctness
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide financial support to team members.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proficiency in English and one or more Ghanaian Northern Language is a plus.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work overtime if necessary as well as meet deadlines for reporting.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of USAID regulations is an advantage.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 MUST be able to ride a motorbike and possess a valid license.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Basic understanding of accounting process and procedure
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good level of competence in excel and word
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good communication skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good organizational skills used in planning work
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good problem solving ability<\/p>\n
