A graphic designer is a professional within the graphic design and graphic arts industry who assembles together images, typography, or motion graphics to create a piece of design. A graphic designer creates the graphics primarily for published, printed or electronic media, such as brochures (sometimes) and advertising. They are also sometimes responsible for typesetting, illustration, user interfaces, web design, or take a teaching position. \n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 You\u2019ll work to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager and will develop creative ideas and concepts. The appropriate media and style has to be chosen to meet the client\u2019s objectives.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 developing design briefs that suit the client\u2019s purpose;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD) and keeping up to date with emerging technologies;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print;<\/p>\n
