For more information about CCFC, visit our website\u00a0www.ccfcanada.ca<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Program Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CCFC has a vacancy for a PROGRAM OFFICER in our Country Office in Tamale, Ghana \u2013 One-Year Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Program Officer will support Programs Office to implement, monitor and evaluate programme activities, focusing on supporting programme partners in the assigned geographic areas.<\/li>\n<li>The Program Officer will ensure programme activities are aligned with approved plans and budgets; assist in the direct facilitation and training of trainers to program staff in the Country Office and at the program level; work under the direction of Program Manager to present programme reports to CCFC Head Office, Donors and Sponsors as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Functions &amp; Results:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibility A \u2013 30 % of Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directs and provides guidance to partners by coordinating activities related to participatory planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes for programmes \/ projects.<\/li>\n<li>Promote active participation of stakeholders in their respective programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate constructive communication among clients, partners and CCFC Country Office.<\/li>\n<li>Participate and\/or lead working groups providing expert advice both in country and globally.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend improvements for Country strategic and operating plans as well as improvements to facilitate the successful implementation of programme partners\u2019 goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibility B 30 % of Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct capacity-building training for partners and clients.<\/li>\n<li>Visit programmes and projects regularly for the purpose of ensuring plan implementation, and to monitor sponsorship and financial activities. Ensure compliance with CCFC policies and procedures, and to support the quality assurance and quality control initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Undertake and\/or recommend corrective measures or enhancements and enforce policies, procedures and agreements as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibility C 25 % of Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compile data, analyse and provide relevant reports according to requirements and in a timely manner;<\/li>\n<li>Identify and write stories on how children\u2019s lives have been changed through CCFC\u2019s efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Others D-15%<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with all CCFC policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Other related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Development or relevant development field; a post-graduate degree will be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum five years of work experience in the development field and demonstrated ability to work independently.<\/li>\n<li>Experience building relationships with development agencies, funding agencies and writing successful concept papers, grant proposals and donor reports.<\/li>\n<li>Programme\/project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation experience, including budgeting and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Professional experience in one or more of CCFC\u2019s key sectors: Education, Health, Nutrition, WASH, Strengthening Community Organizations, and Sustainable Economic Growth.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in practising Results Based Management (RBM) and in using Participatory Development Approach (PDA) tools.
