It has four (4) regional networks \u2013 Eastern &amp; Central Africa; Southern Africa; Western Africa; and the Middle East and North Africa. Established in 2005, FTA aims to effectively represent producers and workers within the International Fairtrade system and provide services to them that contribute to the improvement of their livelihoods. The FTA Board directs policy and strategic development of the organisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB TITLE: Member and Partnership Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>TEAM: Regional<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LOCATION: Accra, Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>FAIRTRADE AFRICA PURPOSE<\/strong><br \/>\nTo improve the socio-economic conditions of African producers through increased access to better trading conditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORTING LINES<\/strong><br \/>\nPost holder reports to: \u00a0Head of Region (HoR)<\/p>\n<p>Staff reporting to this post:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business Development Advisor (BDA)<\/li>\n<li>Business Support Officer (BSO)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monthly Salary Range: GHC 7,263 to 11,508<\/p>\n<p>BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: Yes<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING<\/strong><br \/>\nThe job holder is responsible for the identifying, establishing, developing, securing and maintaining effective long-term relationships and partnerships with stakeholders;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Internal to the Fairtrade System: producers, traders, processors in the Fairtrade supply chain, National Fairtrade Organizations and Flo-CERT.<\/li>\n<li>And other external partners for sustainable producer support activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He\/she will also be responsible for the identification and analysis of member needs and member requirements in the West Africa region. The job holder will lead in the implementation of regional membership strategy to maximize revenues, business development opportunities and added value benefits through offering support, advice and guidance to existing and potential members and producer organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Membership Programme<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Involved in regional strategic planning sessions<\/li>\n<li>Overall coordination of all regional support offered to producers<\/li>\n<li>Develop membership packages, materials and brochures<\/li>\n<li>Overall oversight in development of membership strategy and ensuring this is rolled out to members and successfully implemented<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain an up to date contact lists of producers in the region, traders and partners<\/li>\n<li>Lead coordinator of E Cert and facilitator of staff access to E Cert<\/li>\n<li>Support to HoR in delivery of Regional Africa Fairtrade Conventions (AFCs)<\/li>\n<li>Support relevant product networks where there is no product manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Producer Support Delivery<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Set targets, monitor and review performance of direct reports (BDA\u2019s &amp; BSO\u2019s)<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly reports and process consultants\u2019 monthly consultancy claims for approval by HoR<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the capacity development of all direct reports through coaching, mentoring and on the job training<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all BDA\u2019s and BSO\u2019s have well defined roles and responsibilities and are well motivated<\/li>\n<li>Effectively plan and manage leave and off days to ensure smooth flow of work while abiding to FTA HR policies for all direct reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide updated information to the producers on happenings within FLO and FTA via mails and phone calls<\/li>\n<li>Managing and updating \u00a0database of producers on the ground<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular and timely updates to Head of Region on the ground activities including but not limited to reporting, risk assessments and relevant sector changes and trends<\/li>\n<li>Participation in relevant stakeholder events subject to approval from Head of Region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fundraising and Partnership Support<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide support to Fundraising manager at Secretariat in development of funding proposals to help ensure proper submission with the approval of the Head of Region.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and where appropriate accompany external partners visits in the region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation Support<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning and liaising with MEL team in activities for producer support using the provided FTA templates<\/li>\n<li>Compile quarterly summary reports of activities for inputs to line-manager using the provided FTA templates<\/li>\n<li>Accompany NFO and other partners on field visits for MEL<\/li>\n<li>Undertake risk mapping including major non compliances<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit weekly FTA RED LIST to the HoR of all non-compliances including Support Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reports and work plans<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of \u00a0work plans for approval by Head of Region<\/li>\n<li>Line management of Business Development Advisors and Business Support Officer in the region<\/li>\n<li>Provide reports on Work Plan progress from team<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly updates and quarterly reports as required per the FTA template<\/li>\n<li>Attend and make reports at continental staff calls\/meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Financial Responsibility<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with Regional Administration Officer to prepare and submit regional financial and narrative reports to the HoR for programmes undertaken by direct reports<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and manage overall regional budgets for BDA\u2019s &amp;
