\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform setting out, and basic surveying operations
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Formulate daily construction plan
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare schedules and assign work to construction personnel
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure construction work is completed in good time and the set budget adhered to
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of subcontractors
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction managers, quantity surveyors, sub-constructors, architects, designers, other engineers
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good negotiation and project management skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation<\/p>\n
