Job Title:\u00a0Senior Engineer \u2013 Electrical Power<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

The SE-Power is initially part of the Project Management Consultant\u2019s (PMC-AECOM) Design Management group and focuses on the Power Station and MV Distribution sector of the programme.<\/p>\n

The Employer is preparing a Concept design forming the basis of theMV PowerDistribution tender documents for appointment of a Design-Build Contractor to execute the Works. The Works consist of a combined mains substation \/ back-up power station incorporating diesel generator plant modules, MV distribution to the Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, electrical Rubber Tyred Gantries (eRTG) and step-down transformers to the LV system.<\/p>\n

The SE-Power manages tender preparation, issue, and technical evaluation of tenders for the Design-Build contract; management \/ overview of the appointed Design-Build Contractor\u2019s design; coordinates with design reviewers of other disciplines; oversees the Design-Build Contractor\u2019s design followed by procurement and construction works.<\/p>\n

The SE-Power also assists with electrical design issues arising for the LV Power distribution (part of the Infrastructure package), and is involved with electrical interfaces between all packages.<\/p>\n

Initially the SE-Power will report to the Design Manager. Following completion of the tender and award stage, the SE-Power is expected to become the Engineer\u2019s Representative for theMV PowerDistribution contract, reporting directly to the Project Director (the Engineer).<\/p>\n
