The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services.<\/p>\n

The Association shall provide the youth with the knowledge and means of exercising their basic rights to decide freely and responsibly on their Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) as a means of improving the quality of life of Ghanaians.<\/p>\n

The vision of PPAG is that Ghana should become a country in which the youth are well informed about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and confidently exercise their right of choice of SRH services without fear and\/or any obstacle from any sector of the society.<\/p>\n

BACKGROUND<\/strong><\/p>\n

JOICFP is a Japan-based international NGO active in the field of population, sexual and reproductive health and rights, including family planning, maternal health and HIV\/AIDS, where it works to improve the health status of women, men and young people of the world.JOICFP was established in 1968 and granted the United Nation\u2019s Population Award in 2001. JOICFP has been holding the UN\/ECSOC Consultative Status since 2005.<\/p>\n

JOICFP\u2019s mission is to develop the community as a whole, to promote the health of mothers and children as in ensuring safe motherhood, increasing awareness on health issues and raising the reproductive health (RH) status of the community. In this regard, JOICFP wishes to provide assistance to improve the health and welfare of the people of the Republic of Ghana with the implementing partners, namely the Ghana Health Service (hereinafter referred to as GHS), and Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG).<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Project Title:<\/strong> Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Promotion in Kwahu East District
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Project Area:<\/strong> Kwahu East District, Eastern Region
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Project Purpose: <\/strong>To improve access to MNCH services for women, newborn and children in the project area<\/p>\n

Expected Output:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 MNCH Promoters are trained and their activities are implemented;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Client Friendly Service is provided at health facility;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 MNCH activities at the community level are enhanced.<\/p>\n

Position Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Project officer will take on the role of coordinating the project activities at community level in Kwahu East District.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist Project Manager (Japanese), Deputy Project Manager (Japanese), and Community Participation Coordinator (CPC, Ghanaian) in the overall management, implementation and monitoring of the Project.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist to arrange and coordinate the activities under the Project especially the trainings and workshops to be implemented in the project site in collaboration with Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, and CPC.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist to collect the project indicators, data and figures in collaboration with the counterparts at district level, and quarterly report to Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, and CPC.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist to coordinate with the project counterparts at central, regional and community levels and other possible donors or related agencies, in close collaboration with Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager and CPC.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Undertake project related tasks as assigned by Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s degree in public health, international development, or related field.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 At least 3 years working experience in a public health role within a national or international organization at community level.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent skills on Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Fluent in English and
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to communicate effectively with project personal.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work in a team.
