FARA complements the innovative activities of national, international and sub-regional research institutions to deliver more responsive and effective services to its stakeholders. It plays advocacy and coordination roles for agricultural research for development, while the national agricultural research systems (NARS), advanced research institutions (ARIs) and international agricultural research centres (IARCs) develop and promote the adoption of improved technologies and policies along the research-to-development continuum in their respective countries and jurisdictions. FARA became operational in Ghana since 2002.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Human Resource and Administration Intern<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2017\/FARA\/HRA\/Intern\/007<\/p>\n<p>As part of efficient operational and logistical support to its programmes and smooth running of its secretariat, FARA is seeking to fill a vacancy for a Human Resource and Administration Intern to assist in the day-to-day running of the Human Resource &amp; Administration Division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>She\/he reports directly to the Human Resource Assistant and will perform among others the following duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Human Resource Assistant to maintain hard and electronic files<\/li>\n<li>Assist to take stock of stationary items at the store<\/li>\n<li>Process invoices, and make procurement &amp; payment requests<\/li>\n<li>Photocopy documents, scanning and filling as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with office facility management and provide first line supervision of office asset maintenance and repairs<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation\/Location<\/strong><br \/>\nFARA offers a competitive internship package for a duration of six (6) months. The position is based at the FARA Secretariat in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc degree \/ HND degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>The individual must also possess people management and organizational skills, and the ability to multi task and effectively prioritize assignments.
