This is a permanent position with a competitive work roster. Remuneration package includes attractive salary and performance based incentive payments. This is a challenging and professionally rewarding opportunity that will allow the successful candidate to demonstrate his\/her abilities<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Unit Manager Process\u00a0<\/strong><b>Maintenance<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager Processing, the incumbent will perform the following key responsibilities;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directs, maintains and enforces the safety program for process maintenance; reviews safety policies and\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0procedures to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance personnel;<\/li>\n<li>Communicates and interact directly with the process plant operational personnel and Services Departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in all process areas;<\/li>\n<li>Manages and controls the engineering personnel to implement effective maintenance and repair work practice in all process areas;<\/li>\n<li>Develops,implements and monitors short and long term plans, goals and objectives and focus on achieving\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0the department\u2019s objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped and motivated to ensure achievement of maintenance programs in a safe, timely and cost effective manner;<\/li>\n<li>Reviews operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify\u00a0opportunities for improvement;<\/li>\n<li>Initiates and carries out projects that improves efficiency and\/or reduce operating costs;<\/li>\n<li>Ensures Minerals Commission and Machinery Inspection regulations relating to engineering maintenance are met at all times;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of Engineering Superintendent Certificate of Competency issued by Minerals Commission of Ghana;<\/li>\n<li>5-8 years experience in process maintenance in a large gold mine;<\/li>\n<li>Initiates project that improves plant efficiency or reduce operating cost;<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving and decision making skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to apply knowledge of standards,methods and procedures to work situation;<\/li>\n<li>Dynamic knowledge and understanding of process engineering practices;<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word,Excel,database management;<\/li>\n<li>Medically fit for the position and environment;<\/li>\n<li>Valid Ghanaian Driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eligible candidates will be selected after the interview process and evaluated for suitability in terms of behavioral characteristics, organisational fit,capability to work with the relevant complexity of work and ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging culture with all stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When applying,please follow the guidelines below to maximise the success of your application:<\/li>\n<li>Include an introductory paragraph in your covering letter explaining why you believe you are suited to the role\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0you are applying for<\/li>\n<li>Limit your CV to 4 pages<\/li>\n<li>Your CV must include demographic detail, qualifications, work experience and a minimum of two referees<\/li>\n<li>List your most recent positions first<\/li>\n<li>Include copies of relevant,original certificates and academic records<\/li>\n<li>Please ensure you email applicants@asanko.com when applying for a job.<\/li>\n<li>Please put the job title you are applying for in the email subject line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications,together with detailed curriculum vitae and proof of qualifications,should be submitted by the deadline date to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unit Manager\u2013 <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>HR &amp; Administration, <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Asanko Gold Ghana Limited <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>No.4,Sir ArkuKorsah Road,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Airport Residential Area, <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>P.O.Box CT 6153,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Accra-Ghana. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Or <strong>email:applicants@asanko.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:14th February, 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note:only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asanko Gold Ghana Limited Ghana Ltd.
