The undertaking which is new and still evolving is located in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: Food And Beverages Supervisor<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Presbyterian Centre for Vocational Instructors\u2019 Development (PRECEVID) is a Centre of Excellence offering training in hospitality operations and management using the Competency Based Training (CBT) approach and modeled after the hotel school concept.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre which is new and still evolving requires the service of a Food and Beverage Supervisor.\u00a0 PRECEVID is located in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><br \/>\nProvide overall leadership and direction for the effective operations and management of the Food &amp; Beverage department of PRECEVID.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and ensure compliance of a standard operating manual for the department<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Lessons plans for training room instruction in food and beverage in conformance with approved curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>Research and input into training content, learning materials and methods of instruction to\u00a0 achieve set goals and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and conduct discussions to increase trainees\u2019 knowledge and competence using visual aids such as graphs, charts, videotapes and slides.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct on the job-training, sessions to demonstrate principles, techniques, procedures and or methods of food services to trainees.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and monitor trainees and staff use of inventory including food &amp; beverages, supplies, tools and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise individual or group projects, field placements, practical work or other training.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and implement safety and security requirements in the training, working and operational areas.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the ordering and purchasing of all food products and supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Forecast , plan and manage food and beverage activities, staff and finance<\/li>\n<li>Maintain daily records of operations towards assessment of budgeted guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Resolve customer\/guest complaints regarding food quality and service<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and train the food and beverage team to continuously meet the standards of industry as stipulated in the departmental operational manuals<\/li>\n<li>Maintain knowledge of current trends and development in your field of specialization.<\/li>\n<li>Write departmental report on operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE<\/strong><br \/>\nAttractive and negotiable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A minimum of a good first degree \u00a0in Hospitality Management and at least 5 years\u2019 practical experience working in the industry including 2 years in supervisory role in the hotel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven skills in leadership, management, team building and interpersonal relations<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of and hands-on experience in the TVET sector<\/li>\n<li>Experience in successful leading, developing and working with high-performing teams to deliver clear targets.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate business acumen and proven entrepreneurial skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate skills in financial management<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and electronic presentation, as well as written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate good marketing and persuasive skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested persons may apply together with<br \/>\nDetailed Curriculum Vitae<br \/>\nPhotocopies of relevant certificates<br \/>\nEmail addresses and cell phone number to:<br \/>\n<strong>info@precevid.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p><strong>The PRECEVID Secretariat <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>P.O.
