The objective of the programme is that forestry actors in Ghana deploy sound and adequate information for poverty reduction policies that improve forest-dependent livelihoods and increase forest cover and services in rural areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Advocacy And Networking Expert<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead all activities related to Networking and Advocacy within Tropenbos Ghana, including capacity building of civil society organisation actors on networking and advocacy as they relate to the NSA project and the Green Livelihoods Alliance (GLA) project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Contract details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial contract for one year, with a possible extension until the 31st of December 2020.<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary and secondary benefits for the non-profit sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Starting date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minimum of an MPhil\/MSc degree in any of\u00a0 the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Natural Resources Management, Environmental Sciences, Planning, Political,Law and Social Science or any related field.<\/li>\n<li>At least five (5) years of relevant experience in lobbying and advocacy in the environmental sector.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and practical experience with forestry sector policy processes and forest governance programmes including the FLEGT\/VPA and REDD+.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within the NGO fraternity will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to lead advocacy and networking and also, train others to perform similar roles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their letter of motivation and CV to:<strong>tropenbosgh@gmail.com<\/strong> indicating the position applied for in the subject header.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tropenbos International Ghana aims at bridging the gap between forest policy, management and science; providing a forum for discussing forest issues; and carrying out relevant research and training.
