The objective of the programme is that forestry actors in Ghana deploy sound and adequate information for poverty reduction policies that improve forest-dependent livelihoods and increase forest cover and services in rural areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Responsible for national coordination and administration of the project \u201cstrengthening the capacity of non-state actors to improve FLEGT-VPA and REDD+ processes in Western Africa (NSA project)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial contract for one year, with a possible extension until the 31st of December 2020.<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary and secondary benefits for the non-profit sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At least an MPhil\/MSc in any of the following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Political Science, Planning or related disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant experience with FLEGT-VPA,REDD+ and related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise with project management; experience with EU funded projects will be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to explore opportunities within the project and solicit funds to deepen project achievements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with CSOs, lobby and advocacy and \/or capacity development.<\/li>\n<li>Working proficiency in English, fluency in French will be an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their letter of motivation and CV to:<strong>tropenbosgh@gmail.com<\/strong> indicating the position applied for in the subject header.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tropenbos International Ghana aims at bridging the gap between forest policy, management and science; providing a forum for discussing forest issues; and carrying out relevant research and training.
