Redavia Tanzania Asset Ltd is an innovative solar PV rental business that provides containerised off-grid power to businesses and communities in Tanzania. InfraCo Africa is providing the capital and support needed to rapidly scale up this business, with the intention of deploying 30 containers across rural Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Redavia, the pioneering rental solar power company is hiring staffs\u00a0to establish and grow the company\u2019s footprint and customer base among industrial and utility-sector clients in West Africa based out of Accra, Ghana with a target start date of early July 2017.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Director Of Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall implementation of strategies to achieve West Africa\u2019s sales growth objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer of Redavia.<\/p>\n

The Director of Sales will have the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n

Sales:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Accelerate Redavia\u2019s sales growth, while meeting or exceeding quarterly targets<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Negotiate and close solar farm rental agreements in line with Redavia\u2019s commercial guidelines<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Identifying potential customers \/ lessees for rental solar farms<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Visiting customers across West Africa in countries such as Ghana, Burkina Faso, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Mali, Senegal to bring lease contracts to close<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Manage client decision making processes and technical inputs to close deals<\/p>\n

Customer Account Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Strong knowledge of working with CRM, documentations and reporting<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Managing client communications during the manufacturing and deployment phases of a rental solar farm project<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Resolving contractual and commercial issues throughout deployment<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ensure ongoing customer relationship management to secure upsell opportunities<\/p>\n

Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Support the development of an effective cross-functional team by following up and facilitating communication of key sales initiatives to internal and external customers<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Analyze and report on business performance of territory on weekly basis including:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Follow up on customer product complaints and coordinate after sales service team and relevant officers to ensure prompt problem resolution<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Manage sales executives selling expenses budget and meet a minimum monthly\/quarterly sales target<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Competitors information and general economy of territory<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Report on customer satisfaction and business development in assigned territory<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Recommend promotion initiatives for territory and manage promotion logistics Helping the company develop and execute its Go-To-Market strategy aimed at positioning itself as the market leader in the rental solar space<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Support the lead generation strategy including branding, advertising, events and conference presences<\/p>\n

Qualification and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

Candidate Credentials and Track Record:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Minimum 5-10 years of demonstrated experience with B2B Sales, within the energy market or other heavy machinery into the mining, SME or other industrial sectors in West Africa<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Excellent track-record in closing deals<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Proven track-record of meeting or exceeding sales targets<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Knows and is known in the African, especially mining and SME segments<\/p>\n

Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Bachelor degree in related fields is required<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Native English speaker plus French knowledge or proficiency desired<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering background preferred<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Minimum of 5-10 years of success in a best-practice sales organization<\/p>\n

Personal Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Sales professional with a strong closer mindset<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Affinity with a rigorously tracked and process-driven sales organization<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Highly developed skills in customer and internal stakeholder management<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Enjoys extensive travel across West Africa and the world<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Comfortable with negotiating commercial contracts and taking commercial decisions<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Uses hands-on approach to pragmatically solve issues independently<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Enjoys the challenge of growing a new company\u2019s sales volume<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Possesses a non-hierarchical attitude and strong team spirit<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Affinity with power sector, especially renewable energy and sustainable development<\/p>\n
