You\u2019ll lead VSO Ghana\u2019s programme team as we embark on an exciting and ambitious phase of programme development, building on our successful and highly-regarded programmes in Education, Secure Livelihoods, and Youth. As one of the VSO\u2019s global team of senior leaders you will have plenty of scope to apply your passion, experience and skills to the challenge of bringing about the change we want to see. And we will have correspondingly high expectations of what you will achieve.<\/p>\n<p>The Country Director will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>1. leading a team of staff and volunteers to design and implement innovative, high quality, locally owned programmes and projects that can be scaled up rapidly;<\/p>\n<p>2. building excellent relations with a wide range of stakeholders so that we extend the influence that VSO can have, building on our core competencies and the voices of primary actors;<\/p>\n<p>3. meeting ambitious funding targets and delivering grants professionally so we maintain our high profile for excellence;<\/p>\n<p>4. running efficient operations that conform to local laws and VSO policies and which exhibit VSO\u2019s values<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills, qualifications and experience required<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This opportunity will suit an experienced and entrepreneurial development leader looking for a new challenge.
