{"id":22867,"date":"2017-03-24T08:30:44","date_gmt":"2017-03-24T08:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=22867"},"modified":"2017-03-24T08:30:44","modified_gmt":"2017-03-24T08:30:44","slug":"ppag-currently-recruiting-2017-staffs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ppag-currently-recruiting-2017-staffs.html","title":{"rendered":"PPAG Currently Recruiting 2017 Staffs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Association shall provide the youth with the knowledge and means of exercising their basic rights to decide freely and responsibly on their Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) as a means of improving the quality of life of Ghanaians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The vision of PPAG is that Ghana should become a country in which the youth are well informed about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and confidently exercise their right of choice of SRH services without fear and\/or any obstacle from any sector of the society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong> PPAG Head Office, Accra<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong>\u00a0 Finance Manager<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information, education and services, hereby invites result-oriented and committed person to apply for the following vacant position to be filled in the Association.<\/li>\n<li>PPAG believes in Child and Vulnerable Adults\u2019 protection policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide Accounting Support to the Association\u2019s Programmes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for IPPF financial account and any other project activity that may be assigned<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\u00a0 projects\u2019 monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports and any other reports that may be assigned<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that returns from the project sites are received and properly coded to be entered into the system.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\u00a0 projects\u2019 final accounts and supporting schedules for the end- of -year audits<\/li>\n<li>Scrutinize all project returns and ensure that consistency is maintained in the internal control system and report any lapses found.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly summaries of project expenses under the appropriate account codes<\/li>\n<li>Provide financial support to project staff<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that funds are available for project implementation<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of PPAG final accounts<\/li>\n<li>Undertake monthly supervision of the update of Project\u2019s Fixed Asset Register<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation statements<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparation of project budget, Annual Programme Budget (APB) and any other financial information to Management for decision-making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A first degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option) or B. Commerce or any other business related field or its equivalent in Professional Accounting with a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.<\/li>\n<li>A Masters degree will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Person Must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good knowledge of accounting systems and procedures<\/li>\n<li>A good knowledge of accounting systems and procedures<\/li>\n<li>A good working knowledge in the use of the computer<\/li>\n<li>Very good presentation, communication, and report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be honest, transparent and reliable<\/li>\n<li>High sense of responsibility, accuracy and judgmental skills<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent human relations skills, youth friendly and a team player.<\/li>\n<li>Be a multi-task and a good team player<\/li>\n<li>A good working knowledge in the use of accounting soft wares, especially, ACCPAC<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work for long hours and under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work with little or no supervision and have an eye for details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ability to travel at short notices<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All interested persons with requisite qualification(s), should kindly send their Application Letters with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including two referees and cell phone numbers to:<\/p>\n<p>The Search Committee<br \/>\nPlanned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG)<br \/>\nP.O.
