{"id":22890,"date":"2017-03-27T09:08:38","date_gmt":"2017-03-27T09:08:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=22890"},"modified":"2017-03-27T09:08:38","modified_gmt":"2017-03-27T09:08:38","slug":"american-embassy-new-vacancies-march-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/american-embassy-new-vacancies-march-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"American Embassy New Vacancies (March 2017)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Mission in Accra, Ghana is seeking eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Maintenance Supervisor in the Facilities Maintenance Office of the Embassy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Assistant Maintenance Supervisor (Quality Assurance)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Incumbent will serve as the assistant Maintenance Supervisor with responsibility for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring Quality Assurance in all facets of maintenance, repair and improvement in all government-owned and leased property in country to meet the requirements of the ICASS (International Cooperative Administrative Support Services) standard of the Mission, as well as to supervise the day-to-day functions of the Utility Team for the delivery of water and generator diesel fuel to the above mentioned properties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>EDUCATION:<\/strong> Completion of secondary school along with completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program or certified training in one of the building trades (NVTI Level) is required.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>EXPERIENCE:<\/strong> Must have at least two (2) years\u2019 experience at the journeyman level in one of the building trades as well as two (2) years\u2019 experience at the supervisory and team leader level.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0<strong> LANGUAGE:<\/strong> Level III (Good Working knowledge of the written and spoken language) in English is required. Job holder will be able to read and understand, for example, regulations, instructions and related material concerning the field of work, and to prepare correspondence and standardized reports. (Language proficiency will be tested).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES:<\/strong> Must have Standard level keyboard and computer skills. Must possess a valid class B driver\u2019s license.
