Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Director of Finance & Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Research Triangle Institute (RTI) is seeking Technical Experts for an upcoming regional Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) activity out of West Africa.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 This project will help the USAID\/West Africa Mission to more effectively implement its projects by coordinating its activities; learning from experiences; and serving as an information, communication, and thought-leader in the West Africa region. \n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Monitors all project spending, including grants and subcontract disbursements, accruals and other financial indicators.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manages administrative personnel and functions of the project offices, including human resources, accounting, reporting to local tax authorities, banking and coordination with Operations and Compliance at the RTI Home Office.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 At least 7 years of relevant experience.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working on international development projects funded by DFID, USAID, the United Nations, or a similar bi-lateral or multi-lateral organization.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working on culturally diverse teams and working with counterparts from other cultures.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent oral and written English language communication skills. French speaking skills an advantage.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated experience managing or implementing projects in West Africa or surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
