availability of THREE (3) VACANCIES FOR LAWYERS IN ITS REGISTRY (LEGAL SERVICES OFFICE).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Lawyers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidates who will report to the Registrar will be required to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advise the University on all legal and disciplinary matters and represent the University in the Law Courts where necessary,<\/li>\n<li>Have primary responsibility for legal issues related to research compliance and contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate effectively on behalf of the University and oversees mediation proceedings.<\/li>\n<li>Provide training to university departments and personnel as may be needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records and evidence registers for short and long-term cases.<\/li>\n<li>Work in all areas of the University, including satellite campuses, and with junior, mid-level and senior officials of the university.<\/li>\n<li>Support the work of the Lawyer who has lead responsibility in the legal office.<\/li>\n<li>Have some responsiblity for intellectual property, technology transfer,licensing of technology\/work, relationships with industry and related matter depending on background and need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The appointment is full-time with very attractive conditions and benefits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates seeking the position:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess a minimum of LLB and BL from a recognised university with at least two (2) years Post-qualification working experience.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant experience in tertiary education management and administration at a senior management level will be an
