Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Program Officer, Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI), a leader in global health, is currently recruiting for a Program Officer Communication for a recently awarded USAID-funded five year USAID Strengthening the Care Continuum Project in Ghana. The overall goal of the project is to improve the capacity of the Government of Ghana (GOG) and its partners to provide quality and comprehensive HIV services for key populations and people living with HIV\/AIDS using a coordinated and sustainable approach. The Program Officer Communication is a full-time position that will be based in Accra, Ghana and reports to the Strategic Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Advisor.<\/p>\n Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n Program Officer Communication, will support corporate and program communications function. S\/he will play a key role in making information accessible possible to project beneficiary using technology to support engagement campaigns. Including a two way SMS, pre-recorded multiple language voice message transmission and mobile applications through a toll free HelpLine system. \nCoordinate the development of beneficiary-friendly content (text and audio) for all digital engagement channels
\nMonitor the system and map out support required and coordinate prompt feedback
\nDevelop and lead the implementation of digital behaviour change campaigns by ensuring timely initiation and termination
\nParticipate as necessary in community assessment including focus group discussions to inform new campaigns
\nWork with the IT Officer to ensure all administrative issues of a web portal or an interface for administration of services is fully functional
\nSupport the SBCC Advisor to develop Behavior Change Communication materials for project beneficiary
\nSupport other communication functions of the Care Continuum project<\/p>\n
\nAt least 2 years of work experience in project\/program implementation, material\/content development and a good knowledge in online communication, preferable in HIV or any public health intervention.
\nCreative skill and ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize work
\nPassion for digital communication and online engagement
\nExperience working with the latest advances in effective use of digital and social media for effective corporate and program communication
\nProven skills in MS Microsoft Office, Google Docs as well as search engine optimization and other digital tools
\nExcellent spoken and written communication skills in English;
\nWillingness to travel, if needed;
\nDemonstrated ability to build, manage and work in a team and work under pressure
\nGood organization and electronic file management skills; and
\nGood training and facilitation skills.<\/p>\n
