{"id":23368,"date":"2017-04-19T10:43:20","date_gmt":"2017-04-19T10:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=23368"},"modified":"2017-04-19T10:43:20","modified_gmt":"2017-04-19T10:43:20","slug":"late-april-jobs-uhas-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/late-april-jobs-uhas-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Late April Jobs At UHAS (2017)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Founded in December 2011, University of Health and Allied Sciences is among the youngest public universities in Ghana.\u00a0 University of Health and Allied\u00a0 has a student population of almost\u00a0 2,100 and employees numbering approximately 390 made up of academic and senior administrative employees, as well as other support staff.<\/p>\n<p>The vision of University of Health and Allied Sciences is to provide quality educational opportunities to students and healthcare professionals, advance knowledge through scholarship and research and provide patient care and services that improve health and quality of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director Of Human Resource (Senior Level Administrative Position)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University of Health and Allied Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Director of Human Resource, to take effect from 1st August, 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Registrar<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Director of Human Resource shall, under the Registrar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lead in the development and implementation of the human resources policies of the University;<\/li>\n<li>provide strategic planning with respect to the human resource needs of the University;<\/li>\n<li>ensure the timely renewal and termination of employment contracts;<\/li>\n<li>institute and maintain a system for monitoring and evaluating the performance of all employees of the University and submit reports thereon to the Vice-Chancellor and the Council;<\/li>\n<li>manage and advise on the collective bargaining process and collective agreements with unionised staff;<\/li>\n<li>institute a system for continuing education and in-service training for all employees of the University; and<\/li>\n<li>discharge any other assignment that the Registrar shall deem necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tenure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The person appointed Director of HR shall hold office for a period of four years and is eligible for re-appointment for a further term of up to four years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate shall be of the rank of at least a Deputy Registrar or eligible for appointment as such.
