{"id":23413,"date":"2017-04-20T06:59:11","date_gmt":"2017-04-20T06:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=23413"},"modified":"2017-04-20T06:59:11","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T06:59:11","slug":"orkila-ghana-new-jobs-ghana-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/orkila-ghana-new-jobs-ghana-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Orkila Ghana New Jobs Ghana (2017)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ORKILA<\/strong>, a multinational group present in the Middle East and Africa, is seeking an<strong> Accountant <\/strong>to join its team in <strong>Accra, Ghana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the company\u2019s petty cash,<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with bankers regarding financial transactions,<\/li>\n<li>Processing entries of various items, including but not limited to: sale &amp; purchase invoices, journal vouchers, payment &amp; receipt vouchers, credit &amp; debit notes, travel expenses\u2026.<\/li>\n<li>Managing various accounting activities, not limited to closing general monthly expenses,<\/li>\n<li>Following-up and monitoring collections, reconciling customer &amp; bank accounts and creditors,\u00a0 debtors and inter-companies accounts,<\/li>\n<li>Following up personnel (days off, sick leave\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Generating the end of month closing: salaries, depreciation, prepaid &amp; accruals, aging reports, reconciliations\u2026,<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries,<\/li>\n<li>Preparing monthly, quarterly &amp; yearly financial reports ( sales report, balance sheet, profit &amp; loss and budget ) and reporting to HQ on the same,<\/li>\n<li>Participating in the company\u2019s procurement process,<\/li>\n<li>Conducting stock takes and reconciling inventory values,<\/li>\n<li>Preparing monthly forecasts,<\/li>\n<li>Developing SOP\u2019s (Standard Operating Procedures) for the company<\/li>\n<li>Securing financial information by completing database backups,<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding legal challenges by complying with legal requirements,<\/li>\n<li>Protecting organization\u2019s value by keeping information confidential,<\/li>\n<li>Helping with external audits, transfer cost audits, and all other tax audits, including VAT inspections,<\/li>\n<li>Following up on the implementation of audit recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Assisting General Manager in Administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Availability:\u00a0<strong>Immediately<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or higher in a business related field<\/li>\n<li>CPA\/ACCA-at least part 2<\/li>\n<li>4 to 5 years experience in an accounting &amp; finance role in a relatively busy company.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting system<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with ERP system\/Very Important<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of inventory costing is key<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the KRA I-tax platform<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to manipulate search engines tools and search techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented, motivation and professionalism are mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge in taxation matters<\/li>\n<li>Strong MS Office skills, including, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in G-Suite is a plus (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive and hangout)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple, concurrent projects and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively partner with employees, management, department and cross-functional teams to meet performance objectives and to support mission and vision of the Company.<\/li>\n<li>Good &amp; strong team spirit, open communication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are fully qualified, kindly send your CV to <strong>recruitment.gh@orkila.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ORKILA, a multinational group present in the Middle East and Africa, is seeking an Accountant to join its team in Accra, Ghana.
