The services of a National Consultant are being sought to assist the Government of Ghana in the implementation of the various components of the project.<\/p>\n
The National Consultant will work at and under the direct supervision of Ghana’s Ozone Office of the Environmental Protection Agency. The work will be monitored by the UNDP’s local office, UNDP’s Montreal Protocol Unit in New York, Italy’s Ministry of Environment as well as the various International Consultants under the programme. The activities will include duties related to the following components.<\/p>\n
Establishment of the Regulatory Environment
\nFocused Sensitization of Target Groups
\nTraining and Certification of HCFC Servicing in the refrigeration sector
\nRefrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Retrofit
\nEnd-user Incentive Programme (starting after 2012 if contract is extended)
\nDuration of Assignment: The assignment will be established on a full-time basis during the first year and upon satisfactory perfomance may be extended for future years<\/p>\n

\n Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nAt least fifteen (15) years experience in the refrigeration sector in Ghana
\nProven knowledge of the properties and performance of refrigerants
\nProven capacities of handling Montreal Protocol ODS phase-out projects and knowledge of Montreal Protocol related issues and environmental policies will be considered an asset
\nFluency in English is necessary
\nKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to use e-mail<\/p>\n
