Chemonics International seeks an experienced Malaria and Nutrition Program Officer for the USAID Global Health Supply Chain \u2013 Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Program based in Accra, Ghana. The Malaria and Nutrition Program Officer will report directly to the Public Health programs team lead and will provide technical support to, and liaise closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other counterparts to ensure malaria commodity availability and security in Ghana.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinate and provide technical support to the MOH and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in national forecasting and quantification of malaria commodities to prepare supply plans to donors
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide oversight in the management of the pipeline of malaria commodities
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist the NMCP with drafting and submitting commodity procurement requests for USAID-funded malaria commodities and in monthly malaria commodity distribution planning to ensure health facilities have sufficient stock meet patient needs
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Regularly report on stock status of malaria commodities, as well as health facility performance in security related to malaria commodities and malaria case management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with End use verification (EUV) exercises, ensuring that MOH and GHS staff is cognizant of data collection methologies
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide technical assistance to NMCP in conducting and measuring performance monitoring and supervision activities at the health facility and regional medical store level
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Inform leadership of potential short-term technical assistance needs as required
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with preparing annual work plans, quarterly and annual repors, activity reports and other related communications
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide and\/or organize technical assistance and training for MOH and or GHS staff across all levels in malaria commodity management.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Collaborate with other members of the systems strengthening team focused on capacity building and MIS to a have a harmonized approach to ensuring MOH staff are equipped with the skills to address malaria supply chain needs
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform other duties as required and assigned<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working on a USAID or donor-funded project preferred
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience building effective relationships with cooperating partners and stakeholders, especially government counterparts at national and regional levels
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with demonstrated diplomacy and the ability to communicate effectively in a cross-cultural environment
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Fluency in English required
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent written and spoken English skills<\/p>\n
