{"id":23795,"date":"2017-05-15T14:16:50","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T14:16:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=23795"},"modified":"2017-05-15T14:24:21","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T14:24:21","slug":"apply-jobs-gimpa-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/apply-jobs-gimpa-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Apply For Jobs At GIMPA 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) a world-class center of excellence for training in leadership, management, and administration, located at Greenhill, Achimota, invites applications from qualified and dynamic persons to fill the following vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Director of Human Resource Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Director of Human Resource serves as Management\u2019s primary advisor on human resource policies and procedures and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Human Resource Department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationship:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Director of Human Resource shall report directly to the Registrar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advice and support Management on all matters relating to strategic human resource management of the Institute<\/li>\n<li>Provide day-to-day leadership and management of staff in the HR department<\/li>\n<li>Institute, develop and administer various human resource policies, programmes, and procedures for staff of the institute<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and maintain handbooks for policies and procedures and ensure that policies are kept up to date<\/li>\n<li>Perform compensation and benefits administration in collaboration with the finance department<\/li>\n<li>Oversee recruitment process in close coordination with heads of departments<\/li>\n<li>Plan and ensure execution of staff orientation and career development training programmes in a cost-effective manner<\/li>\n<li>Draw and maintain an effective succession plan<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain HR information systems and ensure effective records management<\/li>\n<li>Manage an effective performance management process.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all job descriptions are kept up to date and create new job descriptions as and when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Provide reports on staff turnover, cost of recruitments, reference checks, etc<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate shall hold office for a term of four (4) academic years in the first instance and may be reappointed for further terms of four (4) academic years each, subject to satisfactory performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Human Resource Development\/Management or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Ten years relevant experience, five (5) of which must be in a top management position<\/li>\n<li>Experience with human resource information systems<\/li>\n<li>Effective use of interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy<\/li>\n<li>Must have experience working with individuals from different cultures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with people at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Must have strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Must have the ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Must have excellent problem solving, inter-interpersonal and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must have the ability to take initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Must be assertive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications with CV\/resume, cover letter, vision statement, copies of transcripts and certificates should be emailed to <strong>schoolsecretary@gimpa.edu.gh<\/strong> or sent to the address below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The School Secretary<br \/>\nGhana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)<br \/>\nP. o.
