{"id":23796,"date":"2017-05-15T14:14:21","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T14:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=23796"},"modified":"2017-05-15T14:14:21","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T14:14:21","slug":"gimpa-new-vacancies-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/gimpa-new-vacancies-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"GIMPA New Vacancies 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)\/ a world-class center of excellence for training in leadership, management and administration, located at Greenhill, Achimota, invites applications from qualified and dynamic persons to fill the following vacancy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Director Of Centre For Management Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Director of Centre for Management Development will plan, organize, implement and evaluate the outcomes of the unit\u2019s strategic direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationship:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate shall report to the Dean of the GIMPA Business School.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure an appreciable pool of quality facilitators (GIMPA staff especially and adjuncts) available for all programs<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate business opportunities and potential markets<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight and direction to Programme Advisors and other staff<\/li>\n<li>Support and assist in identifying and securing new business opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight for pricing of existing programs and new proposals determined within the established guidelines while ensuring business and profitability targets are achieved<\/li>\n<li>Hire, develop and motivate staff<\/li>\n<li>Provide programs and financial reports of the Unit<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain confidence and trust relationships with facilitators by managing their interests and ensuring their prompt payment<\/li>\n<li>Provide staff guidance, coaching, and support in the execution of their duties<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties assigned by the Dean<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Appointment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate shall hold office for a term of four (4) academic years in the first instance and may be reappointed for further terms of four (4) academic years each, subject to good performance.<\/li>\n<li>Assess performance of staff<\/li>\n<li>Delegate\/assign duties to staff and monitor their activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Marketing\/ Human Resource Management \/Public Administration\/ Organisational Development or related field of study<\/li>\n<li>Ten years relevant experience, five (5) of which must be in a top management position<\/li>\n<li>Must have proven expertise in designing and marketing of training programs<\/li>\n<li>Must have expertise in training needs analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have excellent leadership and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have business management skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have collaboration skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to prioritize tasks<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to tolerate stress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications with CV\/resume, cover letter, vision statement, copies of transcripts and certificates should be emailed to <strong>schoolsecretary@gimpa.edu.gh<\/strong> or sent to the address below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The School Secretary<br \/>\nGhana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)<br \/>\nP. o.
