As the Regional Expertise\u00a0Center (REC) within Solidaridad\u2019s international network, we are part of a growing global movement advocating and supporting sustainable and responsible production and trade.<\/p>\n<p>As the Regional Expertise Center (REC) within Solidaridad\u2019s international network, SWA focuses on stimulating sustainable supply chains through innovations in good practices, robust infrastructure, sustainable landscapes management and enabling policy environment.<\/p>\n<p>Solidaridad trains producers in best practices to produce more with less. We provide capacity building to producer organizations and enable them to access knowledge, inputs, finance and markets. We develop and promote the integration of good economic, social and environmental management into standard business and production practices.<\/p>\n<p>Solidaridad regional office is based in Accra, Ghana and currently has program activities and operations in Senegal, Mali, Cote D\u2019Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Sierra Leone<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: ICT Expert<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>REPORT TO: REGIONAL DIRECTOR BASED IN GHANA<\/p>\n<p>DUTY STATION: ACCRA, GHANA<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Are you passionate about contributing to change that matters; willing to support agricultural producers to access innovative solutions and knowledge about new production and management practices; and make a transition to smart and sustainable land use? Solidaridad has created a data application system specially designed to strengthen partnerships throughout supply chains and support continual improvement of agricultural production.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This system has been designed to;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports farmers to continually improve their sustainability performance<\/li>\n<li>Provide farmers\u2019 associations and buying companies with consolidated information to target technical assistance and monitor progress<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen the relationship between supply chain partners by setting the agenda, sharing information and working on solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY TASK &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a data-driven organization, Solidaridad aims to measure producer performance and is developing innovative monitoring tools to measure agricultural producers\u2019 performance. The ICT Expert, among other things, will be responsible for the following activities:<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the implementation of the Digital Solidaridad Sustainability Solutions (D3S), an online and offline platform which enables effective monitoring, and self-assessments of suppliers in the various supply chains the network operates in. The D3S should be able to connect network initiatives to local reality and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>The ICT Expert should have the ability to develop solutions to collate relevant and reliable data from stakeholders of the network\u2019s programs which is useful for relevant in-depth analysis to build solid business cases.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she will liaise with Solidaridad Network IT department, PME department and the practitioners on the ground (who work with agricultural producers \u2013 our main target group).<\/li>\n<li>The ICT Expert shall lead in the development of various user-friendly ICT solutions to facilitate the operations of programs in the network and especially making business cases for the local producers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OUR OFFER<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A unique and challenging job within an inspiring and international setting, and the chance to contribute to our ICT agenda;<\/li>\n<li>The opportunity to work with an innovative and dedicated network of professionals across the world.<\/li>\n<li>Full-time position, a remunerative and competitive salary package, depending on education and experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in projects software development<\/li>\n<li>Master degree in relevant field such as computer science or any others specialization<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of computer programming languages such as C, C++, Java, etc<\/li>\n<li>Experience in mobile app development for Android, IOS, and other mobile platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, working with minimal supervision, preferably within a global network organization<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work proactively in complex projects with staff within different time zones and a multi-cultural environment;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment<\/li>\n<li>Creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving and results- oriented.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do you identify yourself with this candidate profile?
