The work will be executed in field and office locations around the world therefore a fair amount of flexibility is required. Extensive on and off the job training will be provided, complemented with appropriate supervision \/ coaching \/ mentoring and culminating in certified Well Engineering competency.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n | Responsibilities \/ Key Objectives:<\/strong><\/td>\n | During periods at the wellsite:<\/p>\n | <\/p>\n Participate in toolbox safety meetings, JSA and PTW audits.<\/p>\n Provide general assistance to the Drilling and completions Supervisors as well as the Logistics Co-ordinator as instructed.<\/p>\n Compile casing, liner and tubing tallies.<\/p>\n Perform cementing calculations.<\/p>\n Witness leak-off tests, pressure tests and BOP tests.<\/p>\n Supervise service providers at the wellsite to ensure good quality deliverables (logging, coring, cementing, directional, fishing, mudlogging, drilling fluids, completions, subsea, filtration services etc)<\/p>\n Update and maintain general well files and maintain the EOWR operations summary.<\/p>\n Facilitate, and document, onsite After Action Reviews to capture operational lessons learned.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During periods in the local operations office, prior to, and after, wellsite assignments:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Preparation of appropriate documentation for risk assessment, hazard identification and DWOP\/CWOP processes.<\/p>\n Perform hydraulics, torque and drag and ECD modeling.<\/p>\n Assist in the preparation of data for statutory submissions to the regulatory authorities.<\/p>\n Prepare well barrier diagrams.<\/p>\n Witness QA\/QC work on critical service company equipment prior to load-out.<\/p>\n Pre-spud or pre completion operational support assisting in the preparation of load-out lists and daily cost tracking templates.<\/p>\n Compile minutes of Well Engineering team meetings, co-ordination and pre-spud meetings as appropriate.<\/p>\n Assist in the preparation and compilation of Drilling and Completions End-Of-Well-Reports.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n Financial Responsibility:<\/strong><\/td>\n | Signature, as operational witness, of third party service tickets.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n | \n | Person Specification<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n Education\/Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n | <\/td>\n B.Sc or B.Eng in an appropriate Engineering or Applied Science discipline or equivalent with a minimum of upper second class honors degree<\/p>\n | <\/p>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n Skills:<\/strong><\/td>\n | Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people.A good technical understanding of the scientific principles of the associated disciplines of geology, mathematics, physics and chemistry.<\/p>\n | A high level of numeracy with good IT skills.<\/p>\n The analytical ability to think through potentially complex problems and develop a range of potential solutions.<\/p>\n A certain level of assertiveness commensurate with level of experience<\/p>\n Initiative, inquisiteveness and drive.<\/p>\n Teamworking skills and the ability to work and co-operate with others.<\/p>\n Sensitivity to different cultures and ways of working.<\/p>\n The ability to work under pressure.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Tullow Oil is a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company.
