The Association shall provide the youth with the knowledge and means of exercising their basic rights to decide freely and responsibly on their Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) as a means of improving the quality of life of Ghanaians.<\/p>\n

The vision of PPAG is that Ghana should become a country in which the youth are well informed about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and confidently exercise their right of choice of SRH services without fear and\/or any obstacle from any sector of the society.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information, education and services, hereby invites result-oriented and committed person to apply for the following vacant position to be filled in the Association.<\/p>\n

PPAG believes in Child and Vulnerable Adults\u2019 Protection and Gender Equity.<\/p>\n

Location: PPAG Head Office, Accra<\/strong>
\nReport to:<\/strong> Director of Programmes<\/p>\n

Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To assist in the development and implementation of programmes that will re-position the Association and SRHR issues through advocacy, networking and capacity building.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 To establish and develop a National Advocacy working network from all sectors of civil society.
\n\u2022 Contribute to undertake research to support the work of the network.
\n\u2022 To ensure that Project partners and other advocacy activities are represented and synergized into the advocacy strategy for PPAG.
\n\u2022 To identify country, regional and global advocacy opportunities and develop audience appropriate messages and ensure suitable delivery mechanisms.
\n\u2022 Research and contribute to the writing of publication\/policy papers
\n\u2022 Ensure that processes for media briefings and launches for campaign and publications are well developed.
\n\u2022 Develop a sustainability plan in conjunction with the network to ensure its future.
\n\u2022 Prepare and keep proper records for partners and user departments.
\n\u2022 Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
\n\u2022 Develop operational advocacy plans for the Association and communicate same to Senior Management Team (SMT) and line managers
\n\u2022 Facilitate consultations and partnership building with partners and stakeholders
\n\u2022 Build up private sector promotional network
\n\u2022 To assist in developing and implementing strategic marketing policies that will enhance the image of the Association
\n\u2022 Assist in carrying out resource mobilization activities<\/p>\n

Qualifications Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

A second degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or any other related field with a minimum of 5years working experience of which 3 should be in the area of managing SRHR Advocacy programmes<\/p>\n

The Person Must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of SRHR partners in country, regionally and globally.
\n\u2022 Ability to source for information, strategize and determine new trends and opportunitiesMust have working knowledge and skills in the delivery of SRHR programmes
\n\u2022 Have strong analytical and judgmental skills
\n\u2022 Have excellent networking, lobbying, advocacy and very good negotiation skills
\n\u2022 Have a very good presentation, communication, and report writing skills
\n\u2022 Be honest, transparent and reliable
\n\u2022 Have excellent human relations skills, youth friendly and a team player.
\n\u2022 Be able to work for long hours and under pressure
\n\u2022 Must be able to work with little or no supervision
\n\u2022 Ability to travel at short notices<\/p>\n
