The five\u00adyear program will partner and consult with stakeholders at the regional, national, and sub\u00adnational level across several West African countries,<br \/>\nto develop a shared foundational understanding of counter violent extremism (CVE) in the region. The findings will improve the institutional capacity of organizations and governments to implement more<br \/>\neffective and coordinated CVE approaches.<\/p>\n<p>To lead and support the implementation of Partnerships for Peace, Creative Associates seeks to engage a highly qualified and motivated team.<\/p>\n<p>All positions are full time and require a willingness to travel. Creative Associates is especially interested in receiving submissions from women applicants. Only qualified candidates who follow the application instructions will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Creative Associates seeks a Grants &amp; Database Officer for the USAID Partnerships for Peace (P4P) Program in Accra, Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The Grants &amp; Database Officer will provide administrative and technical guidance and support to the Chief of Party and staff on the design of grant applications, guidelines, and regulations for the small grants mechanism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting &amp; Supervision:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Grants &amp; Database Officer will report to the Chief of Party.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Grants &amp; Database Officer will have principal responsibility for:<\/li>\n<li>Providing advisory assistance to grant applicants and lead the review of grant submissions\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing and evaluating grant submissions for technical and budget soundness and compliance with donor regulations, recommending award actions to the contract team\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating the issuance of awards and maintain contract documentation through the development and upkeep of a small grants database\u037e and<br \/>\nPreparing scheduled and special reports, studies, and analyses regarding the small grants program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in management, financial analysis or accounting<\/li>\n<li>At least three years\u2019 experience with sub\u00adgrants management, preferably in West Africa\u037e<\/li>\n<li>minimum of two years working in international development\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of donor regulations and procedures pertaining to grants management\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze technical and cost proposals and prepare reports and recommendations on whether or not applicants should be funded\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze budget line items for compliance with budget guidelines\u037e<\/li>\n<li>Proven records maintenance and database management skills\u037e and<br \/>\nSpeaking, writing and reading fluency in English and French very important<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel throughout West Africa, particularly in Francophone countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send a cover letter and a CV\/Resume in English to <strong>jobs@crea\u00adp4p.com<\/strong> and indicate the position you are applying for in the<br \/>\nsubject header.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for this vacancy is <strong>Wednesday 28th June 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Creative Associates International Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Disability\/Veteran<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creative Associates International is a dynamic, fast\u00adgrowing global development firm that specializes in education, economic growth, democratic institutions, and stabilization.
