Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0: Water Systems Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n REPORTS TO: GROUP MANAGER<\/p>\n MAIN DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n Coordinates, supervises and monitors daily activities of all staff and ensures that all operating data are properly recorded and documented.<\/p>\n Ensures that the system is operating properly and water flowing at all times in compliance with national prescribed guidelines and standards.<\/p>\n Submits monthly operating statistics and general correspondence to the system management teams and Regional Group Manager.<\/p>\n Advises the system management teams on all technical and financial matters and also assists them to prepare periodic reports to the Regional Group Manager on community (ies) and district assembly.<\/p>\n Ensures that official records are properly completed and filed for easy retrieval.<\/p>\n Completes applications for private connections and forwards same to system management teams and Regional Group Manager.<\/p>\n Arranges for periodic repairs and maintenance of all aspects of the water system.<\/p>\n Prepares schedules for water quality testing and submits same to Regional Group Manager.<\/p>\n ENTRY REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicant must have<\/p>\n A Degree from a recognized University, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, Geological Engineering or Management or Administration with minimum of two (2) years relevant post\u00adBachelor\u2019s work experience, including National Service.<\/p>\n OR<\/strong><\/p>\n Alternatively, a minimum of Higher National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with not less than four (4) years\u2019 post\u00adqualification industrial experience.<\/p>\n Good understanding of \u2018WASH\u2019 management and challenges.<\/p>\n Demonstrable proficiency in the use of computers with the ability to present reports in at least \u2018Word\u2019 and \u2018Excel\u2019.<\/p>\n Satisfactory performance at a selection interview.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" At Utility Management Services, Inc.
