In 2006, it had around 400,000 customers for fixed and mobile telephony and Internet services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Manager &#8211; COREXT012<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The AML Compliance Officer has the responsibility of managing and maintaining the organization\u2019s obligations as it relates to the supervision and reporting of money laundering activities.<\/p>\n<p>He\/she will be responsible for designing, evaluating, supporting, and influencing a culture of compliance throughout the organization, as well as assisting in the management and execution of an effective compliance monitoring program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aid in the improvement of tools to monitor, analyze, and report suspicious activity;<\/li>\n<li>Handle file reviews of suspicious activity to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures put in place;<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight to the operational team, which acts as the first line monitors and investigators of suspicious activity;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure consistent and timely feedback on cases that have been escalated;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with management to develop investigative strategies;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AML Regulatory Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the development and management of a compliance sign-off process for each department or function;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of compliance initiatives and programs to comply with the respective legal, licensing, and regulatory obligations;<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance in preparing for impending regulatory changes or revisions to licensing structure;<\/li>\n<li>Improve and maintain AML\/CTF policies and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with regulatory framework put in place by local and Group stakeholders;<\/li>\n<li>Identify and inform of any changes to legislation and other regulatory requirements relating to AML\/CTF;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AML Training\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and participate in compliance programs and initiatives;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute face-to-face training for staff in various business functions as required;<\/li>\n<li>Aid in general compliance awareness and refresher training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Transaction Monitoring \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handle the management and execution of second line monitoring and assessment program for Anti-Money Laundering\/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML\/CTF);<\/li>\n<li>Aid in the design, development, and implementation of a risk assessment framework to support all customer interactions;<\/li>\n<li>Help with identifying any AML\/CTF loopholes and coordinating projects to bridge those gaps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core competencies, knowledge and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An experienced individual with 3 or more years in a commercial, preferable financial arena with experience of analysing financial transaction data, in particular for the detection of money laundering and other suspicious activity<\/li>\n<li>Analytical mindset, customer service oriented, excellent communication and influencing abilities, desire for continuous knowledge on AML issues and Fraud prevention, must keep abreast of all developments affecting AML and other related products,\u00a0including Mpesa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Must have technical\/professional qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in a law or business discipline.<\/li>\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience working in finance, compliance or legal<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing and implementing compliance programs.<\/li>\n<li>Team player with the ability to work unsupervised.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional analytical and investigative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in auditing a distinct advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in a multinational company would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work on various compliance issues.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to adapt to working in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organization skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak to authority.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job Type<\/p>\n<p>Full-time<\/p>\n<p>Employment Type:\u00a0Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date:\u00a001-Jul-17, 12:59:00 AM<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vodafone Ghana, formerly Ghana Telecom, is the national telecommunications company of Ghana.
