\u2022 Graduate with 2 year experience in Credit or business related fields.
\n\u2022 Personal credit appraisal skills.
\n\u2022 Good negotiation and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Understands market trends and can interpret impact on the Retail portfolio.
\n\u2022 Full knowledge of Retail Banking Products and those of the competitors.
\n\u2022 Good Computer skills with knowledge of the Credit MIS
\n\u2022 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
\n\u2022 Basic Project management skills.
\n\u2022 CSAP certification is an advantage<\/p>\n

Key Roles and Responsibilities<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

<\/td>\n\u2022 Processing Retail Banking applications in compliance with laid out policies and report trends and issues requiring corrective actions. Such as
\n– Approving within delegated lending authority and securing approvals for those above-delegated lending authority.
\n– approvals are within CAD parameters; applications approved at correct levels and are in conformity with Credit Policy; level 2 and 3 approvals minimized
\n– Appraising Retail Products and subjecting them to credit analysis identifying potential risks and advising Lending operation Managers of corrective action to be taken to minimize credit losses.
\n– Liaison with Lending operation staff to ensure irregularities are rectified and correct procedures are being followed in terms of Group requirements.
\n\u2022 Ensure all applications are processed within benchmarked turnaround times and KPIs are kept within JO specified limit
\n\u2022 Interaction with functions like Clients service, sales team, operations and collections to ensure quality bookings, customer service and data accuracy and audit controls.
\n\u2022 Responsible for ensuring Credit Initiation Unit (CI) Cost is within budgeted benchmarks and demonstrates cost control through productivity initiatives.
\n\u2022 Responsible for system enhancement and support from CI side.
\n\u2022 Responsible for projects assigned from time to time.Legal, regulatory, economic and compliance<\/p>\n

\u2022 Monitor legal and regulatory developments that impact risk and lending policies. These include Prudential Guidelines, Consumer Protection Act etc ;
\n\u2022 Ensure Credit compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.
\n\u2022 Monitor local and national economic indicators as they affect the lending processes.<\/p>\n

Audit, review, delegation and approval<\/p>\n

\u2022 Conduct process and operational risk management reviews as well as business and product risk reviews.
\n\u2022 Ensure complete, accurate and relevant CI MIS for country business heads and Regional Management.
\n\u2022 Actively participate in portfolio stress testing in particular for long-term assets, which may become adversely impaired or potentially non-performing due to influence of external factors.
\n\u2022 Through review, maintain product programmes to Consumer Banking Group standards
\n\u2022 Exercise prudent risk aware judgement in use and application of own lending limit.
\n\u2022 Approve limit applications and product programmes falling within own discretion and support of applications and product programmes requiring higher level of authority.<\/p>\n

Control Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Design, implement and ensure dual controls in the credit process, which are designed to prevent and protect against loss and errors in or modification of financial records and entries, approval documentation and management information data.
\n\u2022 Review potential delinquency areas for the Retail Banking and Business Client Products; identify potential risk and design and implement improvements.<\/p>\n

Financial
\n\u2022 Implement and use product profitability models and related performance measures for Retail Banking Lending Business.
\n\u2022 Participate in the preparation of risk-related budgets, forecasts and variances analyses for the Retail Banking Lending Business.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

<\/td>\nQualifications and Skills<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
