management, development and utilisation of energy resources in Ghana seeks a results-oriented individual for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Provide direction and advice in the regulation, management, development and utilization of energy resources of Ghana<br \/>\nPlan and implement programmes and activities of the Technical Directorate<br \/>\nRegulate the power and natural gas industry<br \/>\nDesign regulatory framework for electricity, natural gas, renewable energy and energy efficiency and conservation<br \/>\nMonitor and evaluate standards of performance of the utility companies in the power and natural gas industry<br \/>\nDesign programmes for the promotion of renewable energy, energy efficiency  and conservation<br \/>\nProvide policy advice on climate change and conservation developments in Ghana<br \/>\nRecommend strategies and plans to attract private sector investment and competition into the power sub-sector<br \/>\nInitiate policy options relating to the power and natural gas sectors for the consideration of the Commission<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Masters degree or higher in Electrical\/Mechanical\/Chemical\/Petroleum Engineering<br \/>\nAt least 10 years working experience in the energy sector (with at least 5 years in senior management position)<br \/>\nUtility experience, PhD in Engineering or MBA will be an added advantage<br \/>\nComputer literacy and excellent knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office<br \/>\nTechnical expertise in the field of Electricity, Renewable Energy Technologies, Natural Gas, Energy Planning and Energy Policy<br \/>\nA strong coordination capacity and ability to inspire teams to complete challenging tasks<br \/>\nBe influential, confident and amiable<br \/>\nHave Creative thinking and problem solving skills<br \/>\nAbility to produce reports without the assistance of secretaries or typists<br \/>\nExcellent interpersonal skills and drive to
