\nReports Directly to: Head, Systems & Data Centre<\/p>\n
\nTo provide the overall design of Data Centre solutions and mapping of business needs in line with customers systems\/technical solutions.<\/p>\n
\nOversees systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
\nDevelops expertise to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices; new projects and technologies.
\nDevelops standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to end-users.
\nEnsures the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
\nProvides pre-sales technical advice
\nProduces detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
\nProvides Technical documentation of solutions offered to customers
\nProvides current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives
\nInterfaces and coordinates with third party vendors
\nParticipates in training design, documentation and delivery efforts
\nParticipates and leads, when needed, the meetings with the customer
\nConducts research into new technologies that apply in the areas of business of the company
\nLeads team of project\/support engineers that offer second and third line support to customers
\nPerforms any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
\nDepartmental Relations<\/p>\n
\nMaintains contact with corporate customers on projects and support.
\nMaintains consultative and advisory relations with all departments on IT issues
\nMaintains contact with staff on occasions to explain IT policies and procedures<\/p>\n
\nResponsible for the confidential handling of company and client\u2019s data and ensuring data availability during disasters.
\nResponsible for company property in my custody meant for official use<\/p>\n
\nMinimum 5 years work experience in IT design, support and pre-sales
\nIT certifications a plus<\/p>\n
\nSecurity protocols and firewalls
\nServer administrations (Linux\/Unix, Windows)
\nStorage management
\nBroad knowledge of IT systems
\nKnowledge of Data Centre design\/architecture
\nVirtualization solutions \u2013 VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Xen server
\nBackup Solutions
\nGood understanding of modern IT management systems
