The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) was established by an Act of parliament, Act 170, in 1963.\u00a0 It is the sole body charged with the regulation of the accountancy profession in Ghana.\u00a0 Its members are the only persons recognized under the Companies Code (Act 179) 1963, for the purpose of audit of company accounts.\u00a0 It is governed by a council of eleven chartered accountants.\u00a0 The Council, headed by a President, holds office for a period of two (2) years.
\nInstitute currently runs two distinct programmes.<\/strong>
\n(a) The Professional Programme.
\n(b) The Technician Programme, known as the Ghana Accounting Technicians (GAT) Programme.<\/p>\n

A candidate who successfully completes the professional programme and obtain a working experience in accountancy, approved by the Council of the |Institute., qualifies to use the designatory letter \u2018CA\u2019 after his\/her name.<\/p>\n

Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a result of reorganization of the Secretariat, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), seeks to employ a highly motivated result oriented Manager to augment its staff.
\n<\/em>
\nThe Examinations Manager who would be under the direction of the Technical and Research Director would be responsible for all matters connected with technician (ATSWA) and professional (CA)
\n
\nHis\/her responsibilities would include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Managing the examination processes of the Institute<\/li>\n
  2. Ensuring that questions set for all the parts meet the standard set by the Institute’s syllabus<\/li>\n
  3. Liaising with examiners and moderators<\/li>\n
  4. Reviewing the syllabus of the Institute<\/li>\n
  5. Performing any other related duties assigned by the Technical Director\/Chief Executive Officer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
