Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Head Of Human Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Head of Human Resources\u00a0will be part of the executive management team\u00a0and will be\u00a0involved in the development and implementation of the business strategy for G4S Security Services Ltd – Ghana. The successful candidate will have to create and deliver a HR strategy that is aligned with the strategic priorities and is consistent with the Regional and Group HR strategy and standards.<\/p>\n

Role Responsibility:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Effective management of Employee \u00a0Relations function<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    • Responsible for management of disciplinary processes conducted in the region, ensuring compliance with the Company\u2019s Code of Conduct and procedures<\/li>\n
    • Competent representation of the Company in all disputes Labour court<\/li>\n
    • Ensuring that line management is kept informed of changes to the interpretation and application of disciplinary procedures necessitated by Labour Court decisions<\/li>\n
    • Competent representation of the region in dealings with trade unions<\/li>\n
    • The establishment and continuation of employee communication structures.<\/li>\n
    • Provision of ongoing training and consultation service to regional management to achieve successful structure development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      2. Effective management of human resources administration and employee\u00a0benefits<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Implementation of G4S National HR policies and procedures, documentation in compliance with legislation.<\/li>\n
      • Effective and efficient:<\/li>\n
      • Personnel File maintenance (Employment \/ induction \/ discipline documentation)<\/li>\n
      • Employee Benefit Administration<\/li>\n
      • Long service awards administration<\/li>\n
      • Registration of employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        3. Effective resourcing of staff<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Thorough human resource planning process to match requirements with incumbents, with a focus on the approved structure.<\/li>\n
        • Adherence to company policy with respect approval and recruitment process. Strict observance of company recruitment process<\/li>\n
        • Thorough vetting and screening processes<\/li>\n
        • Employment in accordance with remuneration policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          4. Effective management of training, development succession, and performance management<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Compiling operational training schedules<\/li>\n
          • Assist national training function in planning and execution of management training.<\/li>\n
          • Induction training planning and implementation<\/li>\n
          • On the job training planning and implementation<\/li>\n
          • Devise succession planning for management and support positions<\/li>\n
          • Regional management awareness and compliance through the development and presentation of appropriate training interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            The Ideal Candidate:<\/b><\/p>\n

              \n
            • Significant general HR experience at a senior management level<\/li>\n
            • Completed Senior HIgh Schooling and relevant tertiary qualification in HR<\/li>\n
            • \u00a0Chartered or Fellow membership of locally recognised HR Professional membership organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
