You are a news reporter, with the technical skill to create a whole news story from beginning to end, while developing and managing all the different jobs that go with producing a news story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT DOES MY WORK INVOLVE?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe VJ\u2019s responsibilities are listed below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Production:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To develop all segments of your reportage. This includes setting up interviews, determining where a segment is to be shot or selecting the different shots to be used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report:<\/strong><br \/>\nCompile data and research material from various sources, investigate, analyze and write your stories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camera and Sound:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To report in a static shot and ensure sound quality is clear and precise. Camera and Sound editing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong news background and interest in either the technical or editorial aspects of broadcast journalism.<\/li>\n<li>A four-year degree from an accredited university or demonstrated experience in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Video editing equipment a must<\/li>\n<li>Floor Directing, Teleprompting, Script distribution for live broadcasts, Production support for Media Operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply for this job:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All interested candidates must submit your profile, cover letter, and resume for the &#8220;video journalist&#8221; position to<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:wewantyou@maptv.tv\"><strong>wewantyou@maptv.tv<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Show reel not mandatory but is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Deadline: March 25th 2011<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Opportunity Description: WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
