Provide the departments with the information needed to efficiently run their operation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Cost Controller<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The job of\u00a0<b>Cost Controller<\/b>\u00a0is executed satisfactorily when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 F&amp;B POS system is up to date with current pricing.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cost reports are created and distributed monthly.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Random spot checks are performed and documented.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stocks in storeroom and outlets are on par with demand period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for following and understanding all Kempinski Policies &amp; Procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the Kempinski code of conduct.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing spot checks of the receiving of goods and verifying accuracy of deliveries.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing spot checks in the culinary area and verifying yielding and wastage.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for verifying that food recipes are accurate and have updated cost and sale prices, as well as compliance during preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing spot checks in Housekeeping, Laundry and Stewarding areas and verifying use of materials in regards to dosage and proper use.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing spot checks in the bars and verifying recipes and portion standards are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for randomly auditing the market list and use of seasonal items.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing audits to ensure that inventory movements are recorded correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for documenting and filing all findings and recommendation.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing random inventories and verifying accuracy versus the perpetual inventory as well as that the stock levels are on par with current needs.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for creating and distributing monthly cost reports.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for performing any additional duties assigned by Management and assisting in other areas of Accounting as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for communicating with supervisor on any discrepancies in invoices or other potential problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.<\/p>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years in hotel accounting<\/li>\n<li>3+ years in credit management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients\/vendors<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times<\/li>\n<li>Works in a safe, prudent and organized manner<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate computer and office equipment<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Excel and Word<\/li>\n<li>Experience in respective accounting software is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and local regulations<\/li>\n<li>People Oriented<\/li>\n<li>Passionate for European luxury<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial<\/li>\n<li>Straightforward<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinker<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and reliable<\/li>\n<li>Tolerant and open minded<\/li>\n<li>Works well under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>WHAT WE OFFER<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wide range of development possibilities and career growth<\/li>\n<li>An excellent working environment<\/li>\n<li>A good compensation package<\/li>\n<li>A good medical and healthcare package<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To safeguard the financial integrity and stability of the hotel and minimize any exposure to potential risks.
