There is also growing middle classes who are likely to experiment with new products. Growth in this region is currently 6% but could reach 10% by F09.<\/p>\n<p>This role is key in the GGBL site packaging maintenance team.\u00a0 The Packaging Engineer \u2013Electrical\/Automation Engineer reports to the Packaging Maintenance Engineer and is responsible for the delivery of plant availability and machine efficiency, working with his team of technicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Automation Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PURPOSE<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Executes packaging maintenance in respect of Asset care, projects, modifications, overhauls, spare parts and safety to ensure plant and equipment availability.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Degree in Engineering\/ HND Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance engineering in food or drink manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>A holder of the GhIE or equivalent recognised body will be useful<\/li>\n<li>Proven first line management skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer Literate<\/li>\n<li>Resource management Skills<\/li>\n<li>People management &amp; motivational skills<\/li>\n<li>Networking\/influencing \/communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Counselling skills<\/li>\n<li>Research skills<\/li>\n<li>Manage complexity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Achieve 100% conformance to Safety, Statutory and Engineering and Risk Management Standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide input into packaging maintenance plans<\/li>\n<li>Achieve packaging engineering Key Performance Indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Improve asset performance versus targets through the execution of effective planned maintenance activities (e.g. shutdowns, overhauls) and providing technical input into packaging teams in collaboration with the packaging maintenance planner.<\/li>\n<li>Implement best engineering practices and provide input into packaging asset care management.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the execution of packaging overhauls to ensure that these activities are completed on time to specifications and budget.<\/li>\n<li>Optimise product quality, through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering Right First Time (RFT) on quality and control parameters. Respond\u00a0to non-conformances\u00a0in a timely manner to keep process on track.
