Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Intern-Donor Scooping Study<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

The prospective intern will be under the direct supervision and guidance of J-PASS Project Manager, and responsible for the following:
\nConduct study to identify and list donors and development partners in Ghana and their funding portfolios;
\nIdentify the areas\/sectors of focus of the development partners and donors;
\nAscertain the total budget allocations and the planned thematic areas\/sectors targeted for support;
\nIdentify each donor\u2019s means of delivering development aid if any (E.g. through CSOs, budgetary support, UN agencies etc.)
\nAny other relevant tasks as assigned by the project manager.<\/p>\n

\nAbility to write critically, synthesized large information and produce simple and concise content
\nAbility to work under pressure, meet competing deadlines and handle multiple tasks
\nDemonstrated ability to work in a team and ability to work in diverse environment
\nGood interpersonal relations skills
\nHave self-initiative and work independently with less supervision
\nAbility to communicate clearly and simply
\nReport writing skills.<\/p>\n

Required Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Education
\nBe enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in the field of political science, political economy, international relations, development studies or other relevant fields;
\nBe enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor\u2019s level or equivalent);
\nHave graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
\nExperience:
\nExperience in web-based and internet applications, proficient user of Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
\nLanguage:
\nFluent in English (written and spoken) is required;
\nKnowledge in any other UN official language (French or Spanish) is a plus.
\nConditions of the Internship
\nUNDP will not pay for the internship, all expenses connected with it will be borne by the intern;
\nUNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and\/or illness or death incurred during the internship.
\nThe Intern must provide proof of enrolment in a health insurance plan;
\nAll the expenses connected with the internship will be borne by the intern, sponsoring Government or institutions;
\nThe Intern is responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station where the internship will be performed;
\nInterns are not eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in UNDP during the period of the internship or for six months immediately following the expiration date of internship;
\nInterns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity.
\nSelected candidate must submit the following documents:
\nLetter of intent\/motivation;
\nLetter confirming University enrolment;
\nLetter of endorsement from the University, or proof of (master\u2019s programme) graduation if within less than one year;
\nScanned visa document\/scanned passport document if no visa is required;
